Summary of Proposal:
The Time Act formerly provided that daylight saving time was in effect between 2 a.m. standard time on the first Sunday in April and 2 a.m. daylight saving time on the last Sunday in October. O. Reg. 111/06 under the Time Act varied this by changing the commencement day for daylight savings time to the second Sunday in March and moving the end date to the first Sunday in November. On December 15, 2009, the Time Act was amended to provide that the latter days in November and March are now the days between which daylight saving time will be in effect. O. Reg. 111/06 is no longer necessary as the appropriate dates for daylight saving time are now provided directly in the statute.
