Summary of Decision:
The Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 (CCMLEA) was repealed when The Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018, was enacted and proclaimed into force on November 14, 2018.

The ministry has made the decision to file a regulation that revokes the following remaining regulations under the repealed CCMLEA:
• O. Reg 386/18, Prohibition Against the Purchase, Sale and Other Dealings with Emission Allowances and Credits
• O. Reg 540/17, Administrative Penalties
• O. Reg 539/17, Ontario Offset Credits
• O. Reg. 451/17, Service of Documents

This regulation is predominantly administrative in nature as it simply revokes the regulations made under an act that is no longer in force and effect.
