Summary of Decision:
O. Reg. 421/12 has been amended to accomplish the following:
Extend, for one year, the membership fee exemption for individuals who held a Barber Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) under previous apprenticeship and skilled trades legislation. These individuals are required to be members of the Ontario College of Trades' ("the College"). Journeypersons can obtain a C of Q in the trade of Hairstylist to perform work within the scope of practices of the trade of hairstylist but are not required to pay membership fees. The exemption will now expire on April 8, 2020.
