MAG has amended Regulation 194 (Rules of Civil Procedure).
The amendments would:
• authorize the use of the Civil Claims Online Portal to electronically file the following court documents in actions in the Superior Court of Justice: Jury Notice, Third or Subsequent Party Claim, Statement of Defence and Counterclaim or Crossclaim, Defence to Crossclaim, Counterclaim or Third or Subsequent Party claim, Certificate of Action under the Construction Act s.36, Notice of Discontinuance and Consent to Discontinuance.
• authorize the use of the Civil Claims Online Portal to electronically issue the following court documents in actions in the Superior Court of Justice: Third or Subsequent party claim and a Certificate of action under section 36 of the Construction Act.
The amendments would come into force on the later of March 23, 2020 and the date of filing.
