Summary of Decision:
This new regulation adds additional corporate objects for Ontario Health that will enable it to continue current Cancer Care Ontario and Health Shared Services Ontario functions after the transition of these agencies into Ontario Health on December 2, 2019. The regulation was approved on November 4, 2019, filed with the Registrar of Regulations on November 13, 2019 and came into effect on December 2, 2019.
Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
There are no impacts to businesses. This regulation would continue the existing functions of provincial agencies and is consequential to the passage in April 2019 of The People's Health Care Act, 2019 and the Government's previously announced plan to consolidate existing provincial health agencies into Ontario Health.

This is a new regulation made under the authority of clause 6(i) of the CCA to prescribe additional corporate objects for Ontario Health. This will enable Ontario Health to continue current CCO and HSSO functions after the transition of the agencies into Ontario Health.
