Summary of Proposal:
We are proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 111/12 under the Ontario Forest Tenure Modernization Act, 2011 (OFTMA) to establish a second Local Forest Management Corporation (LFMC) which would hold a Sustainable Forest Licence and carry out forest management responsibilities on the Temagami Forest.
The first LFMC, Nawiinginokiima Forest Management Corporation (NFMC) was established in 2012 and operates on the Pic and White River Forests.
