Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
The proposed amendments to the PHIPA Regulation would have no additional costs or burdens on the public. There would be no impacts on administrative costs or fiscal implications within the government not already accounted for.

Presuming that the Minister makes an order under the Connecting Care Act, 2019 to transfer the operations of CorHealth to Ontario Health, the consequences of not proceeding with the regulation would be that Ontario Health would not be able to assume operation of the Cardiac and Vascular Services Registry.

Summary of Proposal:
The proposed amendment to O. Reg. 329/04 (General) under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) would remove a reference to the Cardiac Care Network of Ontario (now knows as CorHealth), and insert a reference to Ontario Health as the operator of the Cardiac and Vascular Services Registry ("the Registry").
