Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry is proposing to revoke Ontario Regulation 318/09. The regulation has served its purpose of extending the term of validity of those driver licences that expired as a result of limited driver examination services being available during the strike by the unionized employees of Serco DES Inc. The regulation can be revoked since services have been restored and the Ministry needs to ensure that driver examination services return to a pre-strike condition requiring certain drivers to undergo tests to renew or re-qualify for their driver licence.
