Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has replaced the following Acts with the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007:
• Homes for the Aged and Rest Homes Act
• Nursing Homes Act
• Charitable Institutions Act
A consequential amendment was therefore required to the definition in O. Reg. 170/03 of ‘health care facility’ in order to be consistent with Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007.
There are no impacts to businesses resulting from this consequential amendment.
