Summary of Proposal:
The regional municipalities of Durham, Halton, Peel and York and the cities of Hamilton and Toronto would require the continuation of the current formula apportioning the municipal share of GO Transit’s growth and expansion capital costs in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The current formula, which is set out in Ontario Regulation 446/04, expires on December 31, 2010. Accordingly, an amendment to this regulation would be needed to extend the expiry date of the formula at the current rate for another three years until December 31, 2013.
