Summary of Proposal:
The amendment would add the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc to the list of permitted varieties for Aromatic Sparkling wines. This change would affect Appendix C of the regulation.
Sauvignon Blanc was not commonly grown at the time the list of permitted varieties for Aromatic Sparkling wines was originally developed. Adding Sauvignon Blanc to the list would reflect that this is now a well established variety used for table, sweet and sparkling wines.
