Summary of Proposal:
The Building Competitiveness: A proposed Multimodal Goods Movement Strategy for Ontario reflects the Ministry of Transportation's vision to have Ontario be a world leader in moving people and goods safely, efficiently and sustainably to support a globally competitive economy and a high quality of life.
The Multimodal Goods Movement Strategy will:
-Provide a greater focus and profile to goods movement initiatives, and their critical role in supporting Ontario's economy
-Demonstrate leadership and action to Ontario stakeholders
-Provide a platform for partnerships with other governments and the private sector, which all own and operate key elements of the system.
-Build on the work initiated for the Continental Gateway Strategy
The Multimodal Goods Movement Strategy will:
