The College was established to grant Ontario's 157 trades the ability to self-regulate. This ability is a privilege that comes with a duty to serve and protect the public interest (OCTAA, section 10). This duty will be fulfilled in part by defining professional misconduct in a regulation that will be central to every stage of the College's complaints and discipline process.

The College is inviting stakeholder feedback and public comment on a proposed Board regulation defining professional misconduct.
