Summary of Proposal:
The Ontario College of Trades (the College) was established to regulate all approved trades in Ontario and to modernize the apprenticeship and skilled trades system in the province.

The College is responsible for conducting journeyperson to apprentice ratio review for trades subject to ratio at least once every four years. The reviews are conducted by a three-member review panel. The process and criteria for these reviews are outlined in Ontario Regulation 458/11 under the Act. This Board Regulation (Ontario Regulation 98/13) was established to amend the apprenticeship ratio for two trades (floor covering installer and cement (concrete) finisher) to reflect the College's recent review panel decisions.
