Summary of Decision:
O. Reg. 363/13 (Appeals) made under the Line Fences Act came into force on January 1, 2014.

O. Reg. 363/13 increases the fee for line fence appeals from $50 to $300, indexed to inflation.

O. Reg. 363/13 changes the remuneration for referees and deputy referees to be consistent with the Government Appointees Directive.

O. Reg. 363/13 also revoked O. Reg. 714 (Appeals).

O. Reg. 362/13 (Land in Territory Without Municipal Organization) made under the Line Fences Act came into force on January 1, 2014 and amended O.Reg. 716. O.Reg. 716 prescribes forms for land in territory without municipal organization.

O. Reg. 127/14 (Forms) made under the Line Fences Act came into force on May 2, 2014.

O. Reg. 127/14 prescribes forms for the purposes indicated.

O. Reg. 127/14 also revoked O. Reg. 715 (Forms).

Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is proposing specific amendments to Ontario Regulation 714 (Appeals), Ontario Regulation 715 (Forms) and Ontario Regulation 716 (Land in Territory Without Municipal Organization) under the Line Fences Act. The purpose of the requested amendments is to bring outdated sections in line with current government directives and standards.

MMAH has three (3) objectives through the proposed amendments:

1) Increase the fee for line fence appeals to $300, indexed to inflation

2) Change the remuneration for referees and deputy referees to be consistent with the Government Appointees Directive

3) Streamline the process of amending administrative forms
