Summary of Proposal:
The following amendments are proposed for Appendix B - Authorized Grape Varieties:
1. Muscat vitis vinifera grape varieties currently permitted for VQA wines include Morio Muscat, Muscat Blanc and Muscat Ottonel. The proposed amendment would include "Moscato" as a term that could be used as a synonym for one or a combination of these muscat grape varieties.
2. Currently, the Zinfandel vitis vinifera grape variety does not have a synonym. The proposed amendment would allow the term "Primitivo" to be used as a synonym.
