Under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act 2009 ("the act"), this Minister's regulation amendment allows apprentices 90 days to register with the Ontario College of Trades once they have signed a registered training agreement with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. This 90-day registration period will continue until April 8, 2015.
The 90-day period for new apprentices to become Ontario College of Trades members was set to expire on April 8, 2014. Under the act, new apprentices originally had 30 days to become a member of the College.
