Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 332/12 (Building Code) under the Building Code Act, 1992. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to enhance the sustainability of the Building Materials Evaluation Commission (BMEC).

MMAH is proposing the following amendment to the Building Code regulation:

1. Change the fee BMEC applications to:
a. $5,000 per application, effective January 1, 2015.
b. $7,000 per application, effective January 1, 2016.
c. $9,000 per application, effective January 1, 2017.
d. $11,000 per application, effective January 1, 2018.
