Registered training agreements (RTA) registered under the Apprenticeship and Certification Act, 1998 and contracts of apprenticeship filed under the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act (both now revoked) were deemed to be RTAs under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).
Ontario Regulation 421/12 (General) is amended to allow for the suspension of these Registered Training Agreements (RTA) as of September 20, 2014 and cancellation on January 1, 2015 if the individuals named in these RTAs do not pay membership fees to the Ontario College of Trades.
