Summary of Proposal:
Bill 45, the Making Healthier Choices Act, 2015 received Royal Assent on May 28, 2015. The Bill included new legislation to regulate the sale, promotion and use of electronic cigarettes in Ontario - the Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2015 (the "Act"). The provisions in the Act will come into force on a day proclaimed by the Lieutenant Governor.

The proposed regulation would contain provisions necessary to implement the Act's restrictions on the sale and use of electronic cigarettes. Specifically,

• the prohibition on selling or supplying electronic cigarettes to minors, and
• the prohibition on using electronic cigarettes in certain public places or areas and enclosed workplaces
