Summary of Proposal:
The Minister of Municipal Affairs is proposing an amendment to Ontario Regulation 589/06 under the City of Toronto Act, 2006 to remove the reference to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Foundation so that the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Foundation is not deemed a local board of the City by that regulation. Under the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Act, 2005, the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Foundation is continued as a corporation under the name Clean Air Partnership.
This proposal does not address the Toronto Atmospheric Fund. Ontario Regulation 589/06 would continue to deem the Toronto Atmospheric Fund as a local board of the City for the purposes of the regulation.

This proposed amendment was requested by the City of Toronto, and is the result of consultations between the City of Toronto and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.
