Summary of Decision:
The "Electronic Transmission of Documents" provision under the Reducing Regulatory Costs for Business Act, 2017 provides the option to businesses to submit documents, which are required by a Ministry of the Government of Ontario to comply with a regulation, electronically.

Exemptions to the "Electronic Transmission of Documents" provision in the Reducing Regulatory Costs for Business Act, 2017 are provided for documents that:

- Require an original signature
- Must be submitted with a payment
- Are not in a format that meets the information technology requirements for
electronic submission set by the Ministry
- Due to a disruption of normal operations, cannot be received, accessed or
retained by the Ministry
- Must be submitted for the purpose of an inspection or investigation
- Must be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change under
three regulations made under the Environmental Assessment Act as listed in
the regulation
- Must be submitted to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services Act
to comply with regulations under a list of specific statutes included in the
regulation
