Summary of Proposal:
While MTO continues to work with industry stakeholders toward long-term requirements, MTO is proposing to:
• Extend the current exemption in place for mobile cranes and concrete pumps equipped with conventional truck axles from the requirement to display a yellow inspection sticker as required by Highway Traffic Act Section 85, from January 1, 2021 to July 1, 2021.
• If approved, all mobile cranes and concrete pumps (equipped with conventional truck axles or planetary axles) will be required to undergo an annual inspection and display a valid inspection sticker by July 1, 2021.
• Extend the current exemption in place for mobile cranes and concrete pumps equipped with conventional truck axles from the requirement to display a yellow inspection sticker as required by Highway Traffic Act Section 85, from January 1, 2021 to July 1, 2021.
• If approved, all mobile cranes and concrete pumps (equipped with conventional truck axles or planetary axles) will be required to undergo an annual inspection and display a valid inspection sticker by July 1, 2021.
