Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
The proposed regulations are not anticipated to impose any increased administrative costs to members and/or businesses as they seek to permit a previously imposed barrier to treating a spouse. The proposed regulations will not require stakeholders to incur costs for training or education.

Summary of Proposal:
The College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO), the College of Denturists of Ontario (CDO) and the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO) are proposing regulation amendments under the Chiropractic Act, 1991, Denturism Act, 1991 and Kinesiology Act, 2007, respectively, to create a spousal exception to the sexual abuse provisions of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA). The proposals, if approved, would allow these Colleges to permit their members to treat their spouses.
