Summary of Proposal:
This proposal will allow the ministry to communicate with the clients via electronic and digital methods. These changes improve how government programs serve Ontario's commercial vehicle industry by reducing burden, providing digital options and ensuring the effective delivery of ministry programs.
The proposed amendments also align with Ontario's response and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic as they will enable revision of procedures in support of Ontario's efforts in physical distancing: limiting in-person interactions with industry where possible.
The proposed amendments include development of a new regulation and amendments to six HTA regulations is required, including:
o New regulation to support remote Facilities Audits to identify and prescribe the use of electronic documents
