MTO is strongly committed to promoting the highest standards of safety for all Ontarians who travel on our roads, including drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. Trends and technology are evolving, with an increased popularity of active transportation vehicles such as e-bikes and cargo e-bikes.
As a result, MTO is soliciting feedback to inform the development of a regulatory and policy framework surrounding e-bikes and examining a potential cargo e-bike pilot program.
