Summary of Proposal:
On April 19, 2021, the Legislature passed Bill 245, Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021, which included amendments to change the title of a "case management master" to an "associate judge" in the Courts of Justice Act and other statutes. The government has proclaimed September 1, 2021 as the date on which these amendments will come into force. In addition, related regulatory amendments were made to update all references to "case management master" with the new title of "associate judge". These regulatory changes are also effective on September 1, 2021.
