Summary of Proposal:
The proposal consists of changes to three regulations under the Administration of Justice Act:
(1) Housekeeping amendment to O. Reg. 2/05 to remove a reference to a statute repealed as of January 1, 2011 (Family Benefits Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. F.2). This amendment came into force on the date of filing, August 27, 2021.
(2) Housekeeping amendment to O. Reg. 43/05 to remove the words "in person" from the phrase "attend a mediation session in person" to maintain consistency with the Rules of Civil Procedure, R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 194, and reflect the availability of remote mediation options. This amendment comes into force on September 1, 2021.
(3) Revocation of R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 10 as a spent regulation that no longer has any application because it refers to an office and court procedures that no longer exist. This amendment came into force on the date of filing, August 27, 2021.
