Ontario regulation 318/10, made under the Retail Sales Tax Act, has been filed in respect of the Small Business Transition Support program, as announced in the 2009 Budget.
The regulation sets out rules for calculating Small Business Transition Support payments as well as certain technical conditions for the purposes of the program, including the relevant 12-month period for determining an eligible business’s taxable revenue, and the meaning of taxable revenue for purposes of the program.
