Summary of Proposal:
The Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities proposes to prescribe the following under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act,2009:

To name trades for the purposes of the Act [section 74(3)a]

To name trades that belong to each of the construction, motive power, industrial and service sectors [section 74(3)b]

To name trades with wage rates and hours [section 74(3)c]

To name trades subject to journeyperson to apprentice ratio [section 74(3)d]

To name compulsory/voluntary trades [section 91(1)]

The Minister is proposing to carry over trades under the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act and the Apprenticeship and Certification Act, 1998, including each of the sectors, wage rates and hours, journeyperson to apprentice ratios and compulsory/voluntary designations.
