• The Ministry proposes to prescribe the interest rate owing on overdue accounts and the time of receipt of documents submitted by electronic means.
• Sections of the Act for which the interest rate is required to be prescribed include: 41(2.1), 81(9.1), 82(4.2), 84(4.1) and 199(1).
• Section 17 of the Act requires a regulation to establish the time when electronically transmitted documents are deemed to have been received.
