Summary of Proposal:
The Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, on behalf of the Government of Ontario, invites public comments on the proposed regulation to amend Ontario Regulation 201/96 made under the Ontario Drug Benefit Act (ODBA). Section 18(4.1) of the ODBA confers authority on the Lieutenant Governor in Council to make regulations providing for the payment by the Executive Officer of different dispensing fees under the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Program with respect to different classes of pharmacies or operators of pharmacies.

The proposed ODBA regulation would:

- set the dispensing fee at $4.00 for listed drug products dispensed to ODB-eligible persons from a remote dispensing location

- provide that the proposed regulation is effective upon filing

The content of the final regulations are at the discretion of the Lieutenant Governor in Council who may make the regulation with any changes that the Lieutenant Governor in Council considers appropriate.
