In Fall 2011, Tarion had posted a backgrounder document to seek input on proposed changes to the Delayed Closing/Delayed Occupancy Addenda. The attached regulations have been approved and come into effect on July 1, 2012.

Summary of Proposal:
Tarion's Addendum is a mandatory supplement to each new home's Agreement of Purchase and Sale. Through feedback from stakeholders, Tarion decided to review the Addenda, to make various improvements including providing more clarity and disclosure. One consultation process already took place on these proposed Addenda, and now Tarion is consulting again on proposed further revisions that resulted from the original public consultation.
