Summary of Proposal:
The amendment will remove the term "Pelee Island" from the list of regulated appellations and amend the boundaries of the existing appellation of "Lake Erie North Shore" to include the land mass of Pelee Island.
For the purpose of the Act, use of the term "Pelee Island" will no longer be regulated by Vintners Quality Alliance Ontario.
