Vintners Quality Alliance Act, 1999: Proposed Regulation Amendment - Correcting a Typographical Error Related to the Temperature of Fermentation of Sparkling Wine and Effervescent Wine
Regulation - Minister
Bill or Act:
Vintners Quality Alliance Act, 1999
Summary of Decision:
The regulation was filed with the Registrar of Regulations and will take effect on January 1, 2013.
June 29, 2012
Summary of Proposal:
This housekeeping amendment is intended to correct a typographical error (repeated twice) in Table 2 of the Regulation.
The second column of Table 2, as pertains to Sparkling Wine, reads: "The wine shall be surcharged with carbon dioxide gas to a pressure not less than 300 kPa at 10°C." The temperature should read 20°C instead.
This error is repeated later in the same table as pertains to Effervescent Wine, and would be similarly corrected.
