Summary of Proposal:
Existing Highway Traffic Act (HTA) regulations are focussed primarily on setting out equipment and performance standards for two-wheeled motorcycles rather than motor tricycles.

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is recommending selected regulatory amendments that, if approved, would be implemented in time for the 2008 motorcycle riding season to recognize new motor tricycle technology, design and configurations, and to address any safety concerns.
