Ontario's Regulatory Registry is your one-stop source for information on:

• New or amended provincial policy instruments that affect Ontario's regulated entities.
• Recently approved provincial policy instruments that affect regulated entities.

Provincial policy instruments include regulations, legislation, policies, and forms.

Regulated entities include for-profit business, not-for-profit organizations, broader public sector, municipalities, and long-term care homes.

In considering proposed provincial policy instruments that may affect regulated entities, Ontario government ministries must follow the principles and requirements set out in the Burden Reduction Directive.

The Registry aims to:

• Encourage more regulated entities to participate in developing better provincial policy instruments in Ontario.
• Help regulated entities to develop a better understanding of provincial policy instruments in Ontario and how to comply with them.
• Assist the Ontario government in understanding how new provincial policy instruments may affect the competitiveness of the business sector in this province.

Here's what you can expect to find on the Regulatory Registry website:

• Current proposals affecting regulated entities that regulated entities and the public can comment on. However, not all proposals will be posted on the Registry, for example proposals that are financially sensitive or are proposed in response to an emergency affecting public health or safety.
• Information on proposals that have past comment due dates
• Approved provincial policy instruments affecting regulated entities, including a brief summary of the approved instrument, its effective date and, if applicable, a website link to the regulation or legislation on the government's e-Laws website.
