The Ministry of Health is posting a notice of a proposed regulation under PHIPA. The public is invited to provide comments between September 24, 2022 and November 22, 2022.
The proposed regulation would change the dates when Ontario Health would be required to act as if it were a health information custodian under s. 51(5) of PHIPA, once in force, and enable individual access through digital means to certain health records in the provincial Electronic Health Record (EHR): the Ontario Laboratories Information System, Digital Health Drug Repository, the Diagnostic Imaging-Common Service; and the Acute and Community Clinical Data Repository.
