Liquor Licence Act
An exemption was provided to BottleWorks, a company operated by Ottawa charity Operation Come Home, to allow it to deal exclusively with the local Beau's All Natural Brewing Company. The province has amended the regulations under the Liquor Licence Act so that licensed liquor delivery services can now buy alcohol directly from any authorized retail store, including small craft breweries and wineries, instead of only from the LCBO or The Beer Store.

Courts of Justice Act

Amendments to the Mortgage Broker and Agent Licensing Regulation
O. Reg. 409/07, the regulation prescribing licensing requirements for mortgage brokers and agents under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006 (MBLAA) was amended to be consistent with the recent changes to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
Ontario Trillium Benefit, ONTARIO REGULATION 468/11
Starting July 2012, the Canada Revenue Agency began paying the Ontario Sales Tax Credit, Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit and the Northern Ontario Energy Credit together monthly as the Ontario Trillium Benefit. This Regulation will specify the time and manner in which small payments (between $2 and $360) will be made to individuals.
Recreational Vehicle Driver Licensing
The Ministry of Transportation is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 340/94 Drivers Licences - to allow drivers holding a full-G class licence to tow a recreational vehicle that exceeds 4,600 kg gross weight. The existing limit of 11,000 kg gross weight for the combination of vehicles will be maintained.
Drive Clean Program Enhancements Proposal
Drive Clean is Ontario's mandatory vehicle emissions inspection and maintenance program. It improves our health and environment by reducing smog-causing pollutants through testing and repairing vehicle emissions systems. Drive Clean is committed to continuous improvement and is now proposing to make changes to the program.
Amendments to Regulation 1093 under the Veterinarians Act
The College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO), proposes to make a regulation to amend Regulation 1093 under the Veterinarians Act to come into compliance with the Ontario Labour Mobility Act, 2009 (OLMA) and to revoke the Public Service licence. A Council of the CVO Regulation must be reviewed by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and is subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Regulatory Amendment to Ontario Regulation 682
An amendment is required to replace references to the "Colorectal Cancer Screening Registry" with "Ontario Cancer Screening Registry" in sections 4 and 9. This amendment will reflect the change to Ontario Regulation 329/04, the Personal Health Information Protection Act, currently posted for public comment.
Computed Tomography (CT) Safety Initiative
A proposed regulation amendment under the Healing Arts Radiation Protection Act (HARP Act) aims to improve patient safety by establishing Computed Tomography (CT), including Dental CT, as a class of X-ray machine with unique safety considerations, and setting out who can order and operate CT and Dental CT scans and scanners to ensure that the appropriate health care professionals are using these devices in the province of Ontario.
Amendment to O. Reg. 354/95 (Milk and Farm Separated Cream – Marketing) under the Milk Act
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission has approved in principle the amending of O. Regulation 354/95 (Milk and Farm Separated Cream – Marketing) to provide additional authority under the Milk Act that would allow Dairy Farmers of Ontario to make regulations concerning the licencing of Ontario dairy producers and the Canadian Quality Milk (CQM) program.

Proposed Amendments to Ontario Regulation 629, Vehicles for the Transportation of Physically Disabled Passengers
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 629, Vehicles for the Transportation of Physically Disabled Passengers (O. Reg. 629) to modernize the technical requirements for highway vehicles (e.g. buses, transit buses, motor coaches, taxis, and school buses) as part of the government’s proposed accessibility standards under the Ministry of Community and Social Services’ Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005.
Confined Spaces Consolidation Proposal
Proposal to consolidate into one regulation under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) all regulatory requirements that apply when work is to be done in or in relation to a confined space, which requirements are currently found in five different regulations.

Amendments to Ontario Regulation 455/09
The Ministry is proposing to amend O. Reg. 455/09 to: 1. Extend the requirement for Phase I toxic substance reduction plans and plan summaries. 2. Address the requirements related to “toxic substance reduction planners”. 3. Revise the exemption criteria for dioxins, furans and hexachlorobenzene.
Proposal to amend R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing – Marketing) regarding “green shippers”.
The Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers (OPVG) has requested the support of the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission to amend Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing – Marketing). The proposed amendments would: 1) allow “green shippers” of peppers and cucumbers to take part in price negotiations with farmers and processors of these commodities; and, 2) provide the OPVG with the regulatory authority to require proof of financial responsibility or security from green shippers.
Proposal to amend R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 411 (Fresh Grape – Plan)
The Fresh Grape Growers Marketing Board (the “Board”) has requested that Regulation 411 be amended to allow for a revised governance structure of the Board. The proposed changes would reduce the number of Board districts from six to five, and would change the ratio of growers to committee representatives from 1 to 30 to 1 to 10. The proposed amendment would respond to decreasing numbers of fresh grape growers in the industry.
Amendments to Ontario Regulation 97/04 of the Conservation Authorities Act (1990)
As part of the Open for Business initiative of the government, the Ministry of Natural Resources is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 97/04, (the “Content of Conservation Authority Regulations under Subsection 28 (1) of the Act: Development, Interference With Wetlands And Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses”) under the Conservation Authorities Act.
Amendment to Schedule 2 in O.Reg. 572/99 (Training Requirements For Certain Skill Sets and Trades)
The Ministry of Labour is proposing consequential amendments to be made to Schedule 2 in O. Reg 572/99 relating to the sheet metal trade. This consequential amendment is being made to align with proposed regulatory amendments to R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 1077 (Sheet Metal Worker), made under the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act (TQAA) being brought forward by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU).
Fire Service Health and Safety Proposal - Asbestos
Proposal to exempt firefighters and fire investigators (within the meaning of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act), their employers, and the work that they perform at a fire or other emergency scene from the Regulation for Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations (O. Reg. 278/05) and make these employers and workers subject to the Regulation for the Control of Exposure to Biological or Chemical Agents (Reg. 833).
Fire Service Health and Safety Proposal – Protective Equipment
Proposal to adopt the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting, 2007 edition, into the Firefighters – Protective Equipment Regulation (O. Reg. 714/94) for acquisition of new protective turn out clothing.
Amendment to Regulation 402 of R.R.O. 1990 (Chickens - Marketing) to allow for an industry advisory committee
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (“Commission”) supports a request by the Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) and the Association of Ontario Chicken Processors (AOCP) to amend Regulation 402 (Chickens – Marketing) to allow for the establishment of an industry advisory committee. The committee would include representation from the CFO, the AOCP and the Commission and would advise and make recommendations to the CFO on issues related to the production and marketing of chickens.

Industry proposed changes to the Beef Cattle Financial Protection Program
At the request of Beef Cattle Financial Protection Program Inc. (a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. OMAFRA is proposing amendments to the regulations governing the Beef Cattle Financial Protection Program. The proposed changes would result in: an increased level of compensation for losses; expanded coverage and greater protection to Country Dealers and others involved in private treaty sales; and updated payment requirements in line with current banking methods.
Replacement of Life Insurance Contracts Regulation under the Insurance Act
The proposed amendments change the point of sale consumer protection material that a life insurance agent would be required to provide a consumer when a replacement of one or more life insurance policies is intended and would also provide the insurance regulator with the authority to approve the form of a consumer information document.
