On March 17, 2014 the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) introduced Bill 173, Highway Traffic Amendment Act (Keeping Ontario's Roads Safe), 2014 which proposes a number of legislative amendments to the Highway Traffic Act to improve road safety in Ontario. To supplement the legislative amendments in Bill 173 related to reducing distracted driving and impaired driving and improving cyclist safety, MTO is soliciting public comment on complimentary regulatory amendments.
