The Ministry is seeking input on a technical discussion paper as a first step in considering the inclusion of select plant and production processes with air and noise emissions in the EASR. The proposal would require persons engaging in eligible activities that meet specified environmental requirements to register their activities in the EASR rather than apply for a traditional ECA under section 9 of the Environmental Protection Act (EPA).

A pilot project would enable the ministry to establish rules, monitor and safely evaluate the pilot.

On May 28, 2015, the Pooled Registered Pension Plans Act, 2015 ("PRPP Act") received Royal Assent. The Jobs for Today and Tomorrow Act (Budget Measures), 2016 amended the PRPP Act to further facilitate harmonization with other jurisdictions and ensure the efficient operation of pooled registered pension plans ("PRPPs").
These draft regulations will complete the legal framework for the establishment and administration of PRPPs in Ontario and enable the PRPP Act to be proclaimed.

The Ministry of Transportation is proposing to repeal provisions in Regulation 628 (Vehicle Permits) relating to the issuance of refunds for remaining validation on a returned licence plate.
The proposal will affect licence plate holders of regular vehicles (including one time fees for trailers, off-road vehicles, and municipal fire trucks). Commercial motor vehicles will not be affected.
Certain exceptions to allow for refunds are proposed to be retained by policy

Through Regulation 440, the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (Commission) delegates powers to the local board and provides for the establishment of negotiating agencies to determine matters such as minimum prices and terms and conditions of sale of regulated vegetables. The Commission is proposing to amend Regulation 440 to remove the provisions establishing negotiating agencies and to add provisions establishing an industry advisory committee.
