Aligning Ontario's rules for determining brand reference prices with the national approach

The Ministry of Health (ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 201/96 under the Ontario Drug Benefit Act (ODBA) that, if approved, would align Ontario's rules for determining brand reference prices with the national approach used by the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).

Proposed amendments to the effective date of changes to allow Private Label Products to be funded under the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Program and Designated as Interchangeable Products on the ODB Formulary

The Ministry of Health (ministry) is proposing to change the effective date of the regulatory amendments made to Ontario Regulation 201/96 under the Ontario Drug Benefit Act (ODBA) and Regulation 935 under the Drug Interchangeability and Dispensing Fee Act (DIDFA) that would allow private label products (PLPs) to be designated as listed drug products under the ODBA and as interchangeable products under DIDFA (the "PLP changes"), from July 1, 2020 to April 1, 2020.

Proposal for a new regulation: Ontario Regulation made under the Connecting Care Act, 2019 - Engagement with the Francophone Community under section 44 of the Act

The Ministry of Health is proposing a new regulation under section 44 of the Connecting Care Act, 2019 (CCA) concerning engagement with the Francophone community. The proposed regulation would specify French language health planning entities and set out the duties of Ontario Health in engaging and collaborating with the French language health planning entities.

Potential for Cannabis Consumption Establishments and/or Cannabis Special Occasion Permits

As part of Ontario's transition to an open market, the government would like your feedback on the potential implementation of additional cannabis business opportunities in the future, including: 1. facilitating the sale of cannabis for consumption in establishments like lounges and cafés (cannabis consumption establishments); and, 2. cannabis special occasion permits.

Interim Enhancements to the (Tarion) Customer Service Standard

In 2003, Tarion implemented the Customer Service Standard (CSS) after seeking stakeholder feedback in a comprehensive, multi-year consultation. Please note that this proposal seeks to implement interim measures to enhance consumer protection by improving homeowners' ability to seek assistance from Tarion in the short-term, while we develop longer-term and more significant enhancements to the CSS.
