This proposed regulation would extend the filing deadlines of eligible pension plans in the public sector and broader public sector. Eligible plans are those that meet certain criteria (as indicated in the “Summary of Proposal” section below) and must file a section 14 report required by the regulation under the Pension Benefits Act due on or before April 30, 2011. The filing date for these plans would be extended to May 31, 2011.
