The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) is currently developing a regulation under the Security for Electricity Generating Facilities and Nuclear Facilities Act, 2014 related to security for nuclear facilities.

As part of the Ministry's ongoing work to implement a risk-based environmental approvals program, additional activities and sectors are being evaluated for their potential inclusion on the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR). This work involves comprehensive technical analysis and two periods of public consultation to ensure registry activities are developed in a transparent and science-based manner and that the resulting registry rules are protective of the environment.

The Ministry of Energy is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 161/99 (Definitions and Exemptions) made under the Ontario Energy Board Act and Ontario Regulation 160/99 (Definitions and Exemptions) made under the Electricity Act. The amendments will clarify that on-bill financing for electricity conservation and demand management measures, is an activity that electricity utilities can undertake.

Highway 407 East, the first phase of which is anticipated to be open to traffic by late 2015, is a provincially owned toll highway. When completed, the highway will run east from the eastern end of Highway 407 to Highway 35/115, and will include two north-south connecting links between Highway 407 East and Highway 401.
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is proposing regulations under the Highway 407 East Act, 2012 (407 East Act).
