The transfer of small drinking water systems to MOHLTC requires MOE to make several changes to regulations made under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002 (SDWA) in order to effect the transfer.

The regulation under the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA) proposed for consultation would: support the transfer of responsibility of 5 categories of small drinking water systems under Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care; facilitate the regulation of 5 categories of small drinking water systems; enable delivery of the Small Drinking Water Systems program by local public health units as public health inspectors will have oversight and regulatory authority

The Ministry of Transportation is proposing to improve the Commercial Vehicle Operator's (CVOR) program to ensure that the province's intervention and sanctioning model for commercial carriers is timely, fair and operates in an effective and efficient manner.
