The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has issued the Provincial Planning Statement, taking effect on October 20, 2024. The Minister is seeking feedback as to whether there are any specific planning matters (or types of matters) in process that should be addressed through a transition regulation (under the Planning Act) to facilitate its implementation.

The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (MPBSDP) is proposing a new regulation under the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012 (the One Call Act) that would exempt certain designated broadband projects from the requirement to use the dedicated locator (DL) model. This potential regulation is intended to support the government's commitment to bring high-speed internet access to unserved and underserved homes and businesses by the end of 2025.

The Ontario College of Pharmacists (College) is proposing amendments to O. Reg. 202/94 made under the Pharmacy Act, 1991, to update the requirements for registration with the College. The College is also updating provisions pertaining to its quality assurance program.
The Ministry of Health is also proposing consequential amendments to regulations made under various statutes to ensure consistency with the newly created registration classes proposed by the College. These include Regulation 965 (Hospital Management) made under the Public Hospitals Act, and O. Reg. 45/22: General made under the Laboratory and Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act, 1990.
