We are proposing to increase the renewable content (e.g. ethanol) in gasoline to 15% as early as 2025 through amendments to Ontario fuel regulations, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions without increasing the price at the pump.

The government is proposing to pass a regulation under the Hydro One Accountability Act, 2018 (the Act), which would, if approved, prescribe certain requirements with respect to the Hydro One Limited annual compensation disclosure provisions under the Act.

The Ontario government is considering making changes to the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002. This legislation governs real estate brokerages, brokers and salespersons, setting the rules for how they conduct business and interact with consumers.
The real estate sector and business practices have changed significantly since the act was passed. The ministry has heard from both consumers and real estate registrants that it is time to update the act and its regulations.

The ministry of transportation is seeking to amend O.Reg 340/94("Drivers' Licences"), made under the Highway Traffic Act, to online driver's licence renewal.

Amendments to O.Reg 473/07 are being proposed to enable Beginner Driver Education (BDE) approved driving schools the option to provide digital delivery of all or some of the classroom portion of the BDE program, provided that other ministry requirements are met (e.g., approved curriculum).

This regulatory change will improve online licence plate renewals by extending the time that receipts can be used as evidence that licence plates were renewed until the sticker is provided to the plate owner in the mail.
