Instrument Type:
Amendment to the Licence Appeal Tribunal Act, 1999

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO), with support from the Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG), is seeking approval to amend the Licence Appeal Tribunal Act, 1999 (LAT Act) and add the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act (TSSEA) to the statute. MTO plans to bring forward a regulation to provide for the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) to hear TSSEA certificate appeals. The proposed amendment to the LAT Act would provide a necessary route for further appeals of LAT decisions to the Divisional Court.
