Amendments to Reg. 194 under the Courts of Justice Act (Rules of Civil Procedure) to eliminate the requirement to file a Form 14F (Information for Court Use) when using the Civil Submissions Online portal and make other administrative corrections and changes to the rules and forms.
Effective Date:  March 11, 2024

The regulation extends measures (in O. Reg. 144/20) that exempt temporary health and residential facilities from compliance with certain requirements in the Fire Code until March 31, 2027. This will minimize the risk of health and shelter system service disruptions and capacity pressures.

The Ministry of Energy is proposing to amend O. Reg. 160/99 to extend existing regulatory exemptions for legacy contracts that pre-date the launch of the Clean Energy Credit (CEC) registry and use existing reporting provisions to provide transparent data about all CEC transactions in Ontario.

Bill 153, the Building Infrastructure Safely Act, 2024 was passed by the Legislature and received Royal Assent on March 6, 2024. The Building Infrastructure Safely Act, 2024 amends the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012 (One Call Act) by, among other things, enhancing Ontario's locate delivery system while maintaining safety and help to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of Ontario One Call.
