Regulation 753 (Grades, Standards, Designations, Classes, Packing and Marking) under the Milk Act includes provisions that stipulate the size of containers that must be used for fluid milk products for retail sale to consumers.
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission intends to revoke the container size requirements. The purpose of this posting is to provide dairy industry organizations, businesses and other interested parties with an opportunity to provide input on the proposed changes

At the request of the Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO), the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF) is proposing an amendment to Regulation 54 (Licence Fees) to increase the fee payable by a person who sells cattle in Ontario and that is paid to and retained by the BFO from $2.00 per head to $3.00 per head. This would raise the total fee payable by cattle sellers under Regulation 54 from $3.00 to $4.00 per head.
